The Hootsuite Design Team conceptualized and produced many marketing initiatives. Some were viral hits and some were not. We refined a process with the marketing team to maximize the potential of each campaign idea.
The combined budget for all the creative on this page was about $2000. We were a scrappy bunch that did whatever was needed to get results. We casted our employees, called in favours, built our own sets, and learned new skills to make the work the best it possibly could be.
The Dr. Seuss Inspired Guide to Twitter was written by Evan LePage 2 days before Dr. Seuss' birthday in 2014. Jason Esteban, Joanna Ambrosio and I drew the illustrations the next day and I designed all the executions that afternoon and evening. Launching at 7am on Dr. Seuss' birthday.
Between all social channels we earned over 4 million organic views, making this Hootsuite's most viral content to date.
One of my first projects at Hootsuite was to create a video to launch our localization and new languages. With $0 budget our team made hand-drawn and cut out art and I hand-lettered and coloured our art.
We animated our graphics and DaveO found us a great song from an up-and-coming Canadian band.
